Well-Ventilated and spacious classrooms are provided which make teaching – learning an enjoyable experience for the students. Apart from classroom, well equipped laboratories are provided to enhance the overall learning of the students.

CONCORD English Higher Secondary School provides its students with facilities that make it the best educational centre. Kindergarten, Primary, Middle, High School and Higher Secondary students are well provided with ample facilities designed to meet students’ requirements. Our grounds, buildings and facilities are well maintained. The spacious school library is packed with periodicals, newspapers and an impressive index of titles, both fiction and nonfiction. These were chosen for their insightful and educational importance, and cater to all age groups. The school has state of the art computer labs and all computers are equipped with multimedia kits and interconnected nodes with internet facilities. Technology is used to make teaching and learning meaningful and fun. CONCORD is well integrated into all subject areas and all classrooms are equipped with laptops and overhead projectors. New technology tools like Interactive LED boards are used for visualizing and modelling, especially in the Sciences.

The need for the safe passage of each child to school and back home is of paramount importance to us. To ensure safe travel the school has its own fleet of school buses designed as per standards and manned by trained drivers and personnel sensitized to the needs of small children. For supervision and monitoring, a transport attendant is on board throughout the journey. Mobile phones have been provided in each bus that ensures efficiency in terms of service and better communication in case of emergencies. Besides ensuring the implementation of the safety norms, all staff on the bus is well trained in first aid and emergency management.

Students and Teachers are encouraged to use the library on a regular basis under a supervisor. Students can take home books from library personally, maintain a record of what they read, share with friends and develop writing to widen their knowledge. Library comprises of books covering all aspects of discipline namely Language, Literature, Arts, Science, Fiction, History, Civics, Geography, Politics, Autobiographies, Mathematics, Technology, Business studies, Religion, Encyclopedias and much more with a collection in all the four languages: English, Malayalam, Hindi and Arabic.

Indeed! Practical knowledge using laboratories along with theory and for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science is a matter of pride for CONCORD. In fact, guests and visitors have declared that our labs are one of the most outstanding infrastructures in our District. Apart from highly qualified teachers, Lab assistants are also available.

Pre KG

Junior school is a preschool package that follows the gaming based curriculum aligned with NEP 2020. It’s an unconventional system of education is adopted by the school were education is imparted through play way method and concepts are taught via clay modelling sand play, painting etc. The entire course establishes and strengthens the vital skills like motor, cognitive ,emotional intellectual and social.

Montessori

Montessori is a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play. In Montessori classrooms children make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and the highly trained teacher offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process.

Taekwondo

The urge and need for our school to introduce martial arts to impart self-defence techniques to girls has enough potential to earn recognition for the country in different spheres of life. “Girls are immensely talented and have the potential to make a mark in the field of their interest. However, CONCORD urges to impart training in Taekwondo, that shall make girls self-confident and self-reliant,” through the “She power Taekwondo Program” started in 2016.

The Bharat Scouts & Guide

The Bharat Scouts & Guides is a voluntary, non-political, educational movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and methods. The purpose of Scouting Guiding is to develop the inherent potential of the young people by providing them with a number of structured spiritually and emotionally strong and useful citizens of the Nation. We encourage our Scouts and Guides to be physically strong, morally straight and mentally awake, following the principles: ‘Duty to God, Duty to Others and Duty to Self.’

Arts

We instill Art in every child as it is an essential part of the enlightenment process. For Kerala School Klolsav 69 students bagged 69 ‘A’ Grade in 2017-18, Swarotsav, Shastrotsav, etc.. We train our efficient and capable children in the respective discipline of art to bring out their best performance with the best professional trainers from different parts of Kerala to compete with the good spirit among their peers from other parts of our state during Sub-District, District and State Level Kerala Kalotsav competitions.

JRC

The Junior Red Cross is the student wing of the Red Cross Society. It was established in 1922 in the hope of encouraging younger generations to cultivate their humanitarian spirit by understanding the Red Cross principles and ideas, and by participating actively in the movement. It is a Students movement organized within schools. Students who are actively involved in junior Red Cross activities are known as Juniors. The teacher guiding the students in JRC activities are called COUNSELLORS.

Psychological Clinic

Yes! All fingers are not the same. Indeed, situations for all aren’t the same. We humans born have different attitudes to different problems. Children are impressionable and sensitive. They need able guidance and mentorship to develop into a successful and wellmoulded person. CONCORD has the best child psychologists to achieve its mission of bringing up a healthy mind in a healthy body for the children, young adolescents & teenagers.

Excursions & Tours

CONCORD entertains LKG to X|| Excursions and Tours involving Students, Teachers and PTA – for relaxation, break from the routine; learn something new, teaches professionalism, enhance sense of community, creates an interest in new professions. Advantages: Real world experience, classroom inspiration and connection to community.

Bulbul, Cubs and Bunnies

Through Cub and Bulbuls opportunities are provided to the cubs and bulbuls to enjoy the activities specially carved out for them and also help them to demonstrate their skills and talents with a smile. Some of the activities are demonstration Cub Bulbul Greetings, Decoration of Bulbul Tree, Enacting the jungle stories, jungle dance, Exhibitions, Play Acting, etc.

Physical Education

CONCORD English Higher Secondary School provides students to achieve recommended physical activity where the physical environment, the school’s programs, and the school’s staff all enable physical activity for students and encourage them in Sports, Yoga and Martial Arts.

Knowledge Safari

To improve our students general knowledge to face the competitive world, we improve students interest to upgrade their knowledge subject wise, current affairs, national, international, sports, religion, arts, culture, etc.. every fortnight. A team of well-experienced faculty frames the questions covering all aspects with the support from class and subject teachers, evaluating and awards will be distributed from time to time. A Mega Quiz competition will be held annually to ensure progress of children in general knowledge, current affairs, etc. motivating them prizes. Students are encouraged to participate in various Quiz Competitions in Sub-District, District and state levels.

School Protection Group(SPG)

In order to ensure safety of children and to curb tendency for juvenile delinquency as well as to protect children from becoming victims of illegal activities, it is decided to take the initiative to form “School Protection Groups”

The duties of SPG will be the following:

To take action to ensure traffic safety in the school area surroundings.
To collect and communicate information regarding selling of supply of drugs and narcotic substances, pornographic material, sale of tobacco products, pan masala, alcoholic beverages, etc.
To collect information about students who go away from the school during class hours and loiter in the vicinity.
To keep watch over persons who befriend children with a view to exploiting them for illegal or immoral activities.

National Service Scheme(NSS)

The objective of creating a volunteerism in a student through NSS is “Development of Personality of Students through Community Service.” It underlines that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society as a whole. This expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need of selfless service involving in Anti Drug Programmes, Rallies, Government offices, PHC, Dispensary, etc., as part of “Swatch Bharat Mission”, Waste removal Methods, offeringfood for the Needy, Visiting old age Homes, etc. During main festivals, etc. Career Guidance, Adolescence awareness programmes etc. Are held from time to time for in order todevelop and create stability in their personality and instil individuality to face the challenges they face and be the youth of Tomorrow with moral and ethical values.

One NSS Unit (a self Financing Unit) consists of 120 student volunteers guided by one programme Officer who will be a faculty member. Help the students to plan, implement and evaluate the activities of NSS under his/her charge and give proper guidance and directions to the student volunteers.

NSS at Concord now on voyage through its sixth year. NSS now had honored with “Sevana Hastha Puraskar” by ACTSs, continue with Blood Donation Camp, completed project survey on Traffic problems at Kechery, Dimentia Disease and Drinking water problems at nearby wards.

Sports & Games

CONCORD E.H.S.S Chiramanengad could vein the sub-district sports meet since 2012-13. We have been keeping our presence in the national school sports meet and acquiring medals C E H S S can proudly design and shape many national athletes during these periods. We ensure regular practice for the children and make them able to participate in various items.
